New Cello Handmade bow by Igideus Dorfler
A handmade cello bow by Igideus Dorfler. Pernambuco wood stick and silver mounted.
For more than three generations, the Dörfler family, in Germany, has manufactured quality bows, based on the style of the French bow maker Tourte. Daniel Dörfler, the founder of the company, worked to ensure that German bow making-up matched Tourte’s standard of quality. His son Egidius Dörfler continued to build the reputation of the Dörfler workshop. It is for this reason that their ‘master bows’ carry his name.
