Violin with two-piece back with a golden brown oil varnish. Ebony chin rest and tailpiece and rosewood pegs end pin. With Dominant strings. James Priddey was born at Handsworth, Birmingham in 1916. He studied at Moseley School of Arts and Crafts, and at Birmingham College of Art between 1931-35. He lived and worked in Harborne, Birmingham and died in 1980.
