Buskers wanted: The organiser of Moseley Farmers’ Market is looking for buskers, especially in the summer months. The pitch is free and last July the market had a footfall of over 5,000 people over a period of about 6 hours. Held on the 4th Saturday of each month, you can arrange to be there for just an hour or for longer. A good way to earn some extra cash for your holiday or for a charitable cause! Contact us and we will pass your details on. Next market is Saturday, 23rd October |

PAT testing: Do you use any electrical equipment when you perform? This can be anything from and lamp to an amplifier (anything that needs to be plugged into the mains). Most venues now require any portable equipment to be Portable Appliance Tested (PAT)- generally on an annual basis. We are considering teaming up with ?? to offer this service, say on a quarterly basis, with a charge of £1 per item. This includes your appliance being labelled and having a test certificate. Let us know if you think this is a service you would like to see and we will set up the first session. |

Young Musicians 18 to 25 years old: The Arts Council has had to reduce the scope of its Take It Away scheme, due to cuts in it’s funding. However, the schemes, which allows you to pay for your instrument in ten equal instalments interest free, is still available to young people aged 18 to 25 years. More information is available on http://www.takeitaway.org.uk/news/6206/take-it-away-changes-come-into-effect-from-1-april-2011/
