At Moseley Violins we carry a wide range of antique; hand made, second hand & re-conditioned violins, violas, cellos, & double basses, from starter outfits to professional level. You will find our current stock under the SHOP pages for each instrument in price categories.
Whenever possible we choose our stock from our suppliers, after careful examination. We then assess for upgrading the fittings and choice of strings in our workshop, so we can guarantee the best results in playability and tonal response from each instrument that we sell. We also carry in stock a selection of re-conditioned instruments taken on part exchange or on commission sale basis. Violectra electric violins, violas and cellos are made on our premises by their creator David Bruce Johnson. As they are made to customer order and there is a waiting period, please enquire as to which models may be available for trial at the shop. To expand our range David has selected other electric violin brands to stock in the shop, including the Silenzia electric violin and cello and the NS Designs & WAV electric strings ranges designed by Ned Steinburger of USA.
We are authorised dealers for AER & ROLAND acoustic amplification. and most instrument pick up and transducer systems from Barcus Berry, Fishman, L. R. Baggs, & Shadow With our vast knowledge in the field, we can advise you with the most suitable pickup or amplifier for your needs within your budget.

All players are welcome to visit our shop to try our range of instruments. You can also enjoy the privacy of our trying out room when available to test out instruments or bows amps or pickups.
For your benefit, we have created more information about our suppliers under the SUPPLIERS heading . A wide range of fine orchestral instruments, bows, cases and accessories can be ordered from them if not currently in our shop. Specific items may be available on a "sale or return" basis.
